Responding to the FCA’s proposals on Supporting consumers’ pensions and investment decisions: proposals for targeted support we say we are broadly supportive of the overall policy intent. Targeted Support will, if done well, improve outcomes for members and will fill a significant advice gap in a cost-effective way. However, care will be needed to ensure that as other significant workstreams are developed, particularly Guided Retirement, these fit harmoniously with the Targeted Support framework.
